Ong Kian Wee

Kian Wee graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) in 2007 from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Upon graduation, Kian Wee started his career as a Project Engineer with A-Power Engineering in 2007.

After gaining two and half years experience as M&E Sub-contractor, Kian Wee joined Squire Mech Pte Ltd as an engineer in 2010. In Squire Mech , Kian Wee has been actively involved in various types of projects such as industrial, residential, commercial, institution, religious and hotel building. Kian Wee has completed projects such as Toll Offshore Petroleum Services at Loyang Crescent, Ripple Bay at Pasir Ris, Robinson Square at 144 Robinson Road, Buddhist College at Kong Meng San, Church of The Transfiguration at Punggol Central, etc.

Kian Wee was made an Associate Director in 2021. He is a registered Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP). Among the projects handled by Kian Wee, Academic Building South at NTU achieved Green Mark Platinum with Zero Energy award, SIT Food Court & Multi-Purpose Hall at Punggol North and Project Sprint (Plot 3) at Science Park Drive achieved Green Mark Platinum with Super Low Energy (SLE) award. Kian Wee has also involved in many other Green Mark Platinum, Gold Plus and Gold projects.

Kian Wee has contributed the ideas in the design of Passive Displacement Ventilation (PDV) system for Academic Building South at NTU, assisted third party’s stakeholder in design of District Cooling System (DCS) for Project Sprint at Science Park Drive and SIT at Punggol North.

Kian Wee has led the project team in the implementation of full BIM construction model for Evonik Operation Building at Jurong Island, to support Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) transformation. In addition, Kian Wee has experiences in the design of various construction productivity methodology such as PPVC construction for Club Street Hotel, PBU construction for Amber Garden, MEP modular design for Academic Building South at NTU.
